Cheap is good, but not too cheap. :whateva:

Not sure it'll fit in a Gibson/Epiphone case. :idk: Might it? :snax:

Wait you bought it?? Wooooo. Expect more pics when it arrives. :excellent:

I got this https://www.gibson.com/Gear/Electric-Cases/ASSFCASE free when I bought my Les Paul and it's awesome. I would imagine there's less risk of it not fitting than in a hard case. :idk: But this is the most solid "soft case" I've ever seen and I would be comfortable taking the guitar anywhere in this (except on planes as checked luggage of course).

Oh, yeah, I bought it! :!!!:

I don't have a camera (nor a camera phone). :idk: (… and I'm still waiting for a cab to play through. :snax: ) I'll take more pics if/when I get a camera. Right now a camera is probably at the bottom of the list of things to get.

(I will say there's more binding rot than appears in the sales photos. :( )

it's a great guitar for the price. Unfortunately, a case wasn't included.

thanks for the rec. Yeah, was thinking I'd probably have the least risk with a gig bag. Some protection is better than its current state (i.e. none).

Glad to hear you picked up the pinkness, but sorry to hear about the rot

Anyway, I've had much luck fitting Gator cases in the past with copy-types, and the hard cases are usually around $100 give or take (they have a fit conversion calculator on their site, btw).

I have also had luck buying scratch n' dent cases on Amazon, though YMMV :hobbes:

Rondo. They’ve been my go to for cases for more than a decade now - when I can’t find anything on cL.

Thanks, all, for the suggestions. :thumb:

I think the Gator's in the lead so far. :snax:

Oh well congrats for getting a seriously weird looking (in a good way) guitar! Shame about the worse condition :( I have an old acoustic that I bought in person and it still has a lot more binding rot than I noticed when I was trying it out.

But super cool :animal: :animal: :animal:

Sometimes when you're in love with an instrument you tend to overlook its flaws before purchase.

So, I bought the snuggest Gator case and the guitar totally fit. :thumb: Thanks again, all!

(Now, I just have to hope that plastic binding is all done off-gassing. We'll find out. :idk: )

Late to the party. I put a Vintage VZ-99 -- basically a Les Paul Junior with a chambered body and a lipstick humbucker -- in a scratch'n'dent Gator LP case. Your copy should fit too. I'm much happier with a hard case than a gig bag.
"She opened the case of my guitar and placed six fingertips to the pick-ups beneath the strings. She made me a tea from the dried orange skins on her fire, and taught me the way of guitar voodoo." -- Jim Carroll, 'The Book Of Nods'
