Godzilla Destroys Evil Twin

I picked up a red knob "evil twin" yesterday and I was really loving it. The great cleans and the surprisingly high gain channel were great. So I take it home plug in pedal board and stomp on the GZ, I am floored...for two seconds. Then the amp kicks me off the clean channel and onto channel two. I tried everything I knew how to do, but I can't get it to switch to the clean channel. All the tubes are lit up. I tried putting the pedals in the loop, but that didn't work. So I'm out of ideas. Some googling suggests it might be an ldr? Though I'm not sure what that is or what to do about it.
