Okay so while we're here chewin' our cud over irrelevant looks - those Minifooger pedals look so good but I don't like how they put those dumb triangles on them.

Like you take this.... wow looks great, really cool, great shape - jack placement is BOGUS trying to get an expression pedal along with AC and the rest but whatever we talkin' looks here.... and then you throw on this goofball triangle? As David Puddy would say.... this is BOGUS MAN!!!

Haha! Incidentally, I love the the Minifoogers' look so much that it's the only gear I've ever collected. But even then, I did that only when they went on clearance (because I'm a cheapskate), and because each effect in the series is exceptional in its class (because I'm a person of refinement, taste, and class). I think the triangles are v art deco and that is ill 2 me.

Not that there's anything wrong with collecting or getting stuff because you think it looks cool! I love looking at pretty [hate] machines, and if something I want looks cool or there's a version of it that looks cool, all the better. But it's not a priority for me and most of my stuff looks unremarkable, and sometimes actually awful.

I like looking at the Youtube guy Hainbach's bizarre nuclear test equipment, though it's nothing I would ever buy.

The triangle was on the second run, if you don't like it just try and find a fist gen minifooger, they sound the same.
I never thought of the triangle as art deco, I always though it was suppose to be like they were super blown up sections of synth modules :idk:
Yes the jack placement sucks but that is all your guys fault for continually bitching about jacks on the sides of pedals and all wearing all your red caps with make jacks rear mounted again on them..

got one of these in the mail today

Too each their own! FWIW I have the 1st gen ring mod and love it, and I’m sort of wishing I had bought a drive/chorus/delay.... they were great little units!!

I also really wish they had done an envelope filter or done more of the Moogerfooger ones as stripped down little units.

I had the ring mod as well and kind of regret getting rid of it

I've always had a softspot for the boss twin pedals though, which are kinda similar. I love how the Slicer and DD-20 look like space ships, sort of. That said though, I think the new 200- and 500-series are insaaaanely boring looking. But that kinda goes for the big strymon units too, although not as bad imo. Obviously very subjective. I reaaaaally like the look (and sound!) of Fuzzrocious stuff, but know others on here don't dig them at all.
For some reason I love the boss twins aesthetically too. The RE-20 is one of the sexiest pedals imo.

My latest purchase! And yes! Used to hate how that one in particular looked, but now love it.

What's that? Looks pretty cool!
(Edit: duh, just look at the photo properly! Still looks cool though!)

Also, inspired by that, can we all agree that see through/transparent knobs with the LED shining/flashing/whatever throug for rate etc (Tremolessence or Cosmichorus for example) are awesome?

Edit: In fact, most "living" LED's are cool. Swell on ARF or Prometheus DLX are cool too! Though it's even cooler when there's a knob on top of it.
