I love I love fuzz, but...

Post by VREEEEVROOOOOW »

I don't love fuzz. I don't even *like* fuzz. I might even *dislike* fuzz at times.

I vastly prefer distortion pedals to fuzz, and don't have any fuzz pedals. In fact, I've never even owned a fuzz pedal.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Me, for some long periods of time.
Then I listen to Mogwai and GY!BE and love is back.

I love fuzz on other people's records, but not on my board. Distortion all day.

Every once in a while I dust off the superfuzz to play some stoner riffs for a while but then it goes back in the box for another 6 months.

I love weird fuzz and glitchy fuzz but I never have any use for them. I used to like muffs a lot and then I figured out that RATs don’t suck. So I’m 50/50 on fuzz. Distortion is usually cooler.

I have never felt like this. Mostly using distortion in my bands at the moment but that's pure coincidence.

Fuzz can be so radically different with another guitar, or amp, or at a different place on your board, or in a loop. Have you considered replacing your whole setup to accommodate fuzz? Don't give up. I know there's some fuzz love deep inside of you.

I sometimes love big distorted sounds, sometimes overdriven amps, sometimes distortion, sometimes fuzz, it's all one.

What fuzz pedals do GY!BE use? I've never noticed. Bit hard to decipher what's going on with four guitars and two basses +++

I actually *have* considered replacing my whole setup to accommodate fuzz. Or, rather, to have alternative setups. But then I figured that meh I don't really like fuzz, so now my alternative setup is just using a Fab Tone on its own.
