Hey,
Can anyone recommend a pedal that gets to that Selmer treble + bass tones? The Piper at the gates of dawn era Pink Floyd cranked amp sound? It sounds a bit fuzz but it's the amp

I was thinking a Voodoo Lab Superfuzz isn't bad, but was looking if anyone can suggest a better alternative? I don't know if the DBA Intersteller Overdriver is designed for that? I do like a Fuzz War but I don't think it'd work!
Basically can you help me get that sort of vibe?
Thanks!
Any pedal that can do Selmer Treble and Bass tones?

i think you can probably get close with an amp-in-a-box type overdrive/preamp pedal. or a coloursound overdriver/powerboost clone.

Yeah amp in a box stuff is probably the way to go. The treble and bass is kinda like a bassman but with el34 so there are alot of options that will get you there. I like the boss od-3 for bright unbearable overdrive like that but you could probably dial in an ocd or such pretty close
Mirror disks on your guitar is way more important for the barrett vibe

Jext Telez made (or makes a pedal) based on the fuzz he supposedly used on Piper

the Land/Farm 'No Masters' pedal is based on the Selmer BuzzTone, which Syd supposedly used occasionally (i don't hear much fuzz on Piper, though - i think it was used on the singles & live). the Farm Black Flag is more of a stripped down version of the same circuit & can sound Barrett-like on the lower settings. i find if you have a bright, low output guitar like a Tele or a Danelectro through a loud, mostly clean amp with a bit of echo, that's really the key.

Agreed that a Bassman-like, Tele, and mirror discs are the truth and the way. The record also has a healthy amount of compression going on, so I might balance that against the amp/pedal gain. Also hit up your dirtbag cousin Zeke for his Zippo.
