I've always just unscrewed the plates and turned them around to put velcro on 'em. That was I don't have to fuss with the rubber at all and improves resale value (I guess).

The pots worked themselves out a bit with some rigorous twisting but still don't have the feel of my other boss and even old dod pots.

These issues are extremely minute though and are my only complaints, the construction is standard boss quality and the sound is the best of all the DD's imo.

It's interesting how this 0edal can't really replace the DD-7 though, without the various digital time settings, the DD-8 is not merely an improved DD-7, like all others, they all have their strengths and weaknesses and thus should probably he amassed and not constantly sold off like I do. Really wishing I hadn't sold my DD-7 toward this as the DD-7 has 3200ms delay, DD-8 is max 800ms (except reverse's 5000ms max)
I watched a video that said if you plug into input A and output B it doubles the delay time of the dd8 so I guess that would take it up to 1600ms.

EDIT: and I checked the boss manual says the same thing. 1600ms in most settings if you connect it like I said above

That's good to know, unfortunately I'm needing stereo operation for mibile use with a digitone or as a stereo aux.

I think the thought process there was to give distinction to the 200/500 line and give people a reason to upgrade if they need the longer times. Honestly the DD-8 is all of my favorite things about Boss delays in a pedal, but I wouldn’t mind the longer times either. It gets used as a delay basically never in my set but nothing else on my board does them either.
