naive question about effects loops

Post by Errant Tiger »

Is there a way to construct an FX loop for a pedal (delay, for example) that doesn't have one built in?

Rough draft thought: Getting a true bypass loop pedal with a clean blend built in. Set delay in loop full wet and then add any effect you'd like after the delay signal within the loop.

Hey that sounds like it might work. Would it do the thing of "clean first note and effected repeats?"

Yeah, since your clean tone would be passing through the clean blend, the effect signal of the true bypass loop would be whatever is in there. I know there are some options out there but I haven't looked in some time and not sure what is current.

Cool, thanks so much for the tip - sounds like a visit to Saturnworks is in order...
