Aniara was pretty interesting. I want to read the epic now but am always skeptical of translations.

Prime Video now offers 7 seasons of True Blood, so the missus and I have been trashing it up bayou vampire style.

Went searching for eps 1 and 2 of War of the Worlds (BBC), and discovered a full season of War of the Worlds (Fox). Watching both.

Both kinda boring. The french one on Fox is way different than anything previous and reminds me of late 90s dark ambient. BBC one is better for obvious reasons, but still just ok.

Gave Dark Crystal a second chance, still can't do it.

Witcher - meh.
Watchmen - WTF.

I've been watching Reprisal, not a great show, but definitely a fun show. Plus, I just love rat rods.

I guess it's like an Elseworlds or a What If? It's set in an alternate timeline, with changed history, 30-35 years after the original story, which stays back in the 80s. They went a little nuts with the world-building since it's become a TV buzzword.
We're only 2 episodes in so far. It's a really weird choice and approach for HBO's first superhero/comics thing.

I finally saw The Lighthouse (2019). I dug it a lot.

The whole time I was wondering if it was some remake or adaptation of another gloomy lighthouse film I'd seen, The Vanishing. (I recommend btw.)

I guess the whole theme is based on a Poe story which explains why it's practically a genre - see The Lighthouse (2016) too. Wonder if that's any good. :idk:

Dark Crystal was weird. Granted I was a bit stoned but it was weeeeeird.

My girlfriend is watching Witcher. I gave it a glance and wasn't into it.

Watchmen was alright.

Oh a side not: Anyone that has varying degrees of anxiety have heightened anxiety by the shear amount of streaming stuff out there?

Yes. Sometimes the options are just too many and I get sick of searching around for something to watch. I don't like to binge watch stuff...I wish there was a shuffle button.

I just watched this and enjoyed it, but like...what the heck did I just watch
I loved the strange music and visuals throughout. And the ending scene especially.
