Saw this new EHX catalog on Reddit and thought folks might be intrigued, or at least keen to kvetch about it Apologies if someone posted and I missed it.
1440 Looper, Pitch Fork +, Ocean's 12, Big Muff plugin.
That 1440 Looper looks interesting.
I love my 720, which IMHO is the best looper feature-wise in the whole EHX line up.
So, I'm very curious to read it's manual, to see if this time they've come up with a better design.
My hopes are:
- they've kept the fade out stop option (why they didn't put it in the 22500 is a mistery)
- didn't implement the octave like on 22500, with that ridicolous scroll from normal to -1 to +1
- the Aux switch input does offer more functions/control over the unit (not like the 22500, where you can only scroll up/down the loop banks... 720 gives you at least the possibility to have instant undo/redo)
I just bought an Infinity so I'm pointedly not reading about the 1440, but the PF+ looks pretty cool. As does the Ocean's 12, I guess, but I really don't like the layout.
Is the 720 record/playback sequence like the Akai Headrush where if you hit Record again it doesn't start playback but just starts recording again? So if you mess up you don't have to play the botched loop and stop/re-record.
Sold my 720 to a friend a few days ago because of lack of use, but that 1440 sure looks interesting.
Also, I ve been wanting a Pitch fork for a while, at this point I think I'm gonna wait until this one comes out, I wonder what they mean with "multiple routing options" regarding the outputs.

Nopw you have to stop, and clear the loop, or scroll to an empty loop memory.
