I was invited to a free concert to see some music performers. There were four guys - 2 percussionists, a guy on vibraphone and exotic instruments and Craig Butterfield on stand up bass. I sat up front and gazed upon some strange instruments such as the ones shown below. The second picture below are a set of polyphonic pots in which the tops are struck and muted with padded sticks. The performance was amazing. When it was over, my brain was mush from trying to follow the time signatures. The time signatures are broken into smaller sets of time signatures. Not something you can just bob your head to, it was as exhausting as it was beautiful! The bass player blew my face off, shredding a stand up bass with a bow and his fingers. They are called Brahmah - "A fusion of jazz and music of the mid-east, India and Bali"
"My theory is that music is good, it's the only religion that delivers the goods. And anybody who wants to hear any kind of music is entitled to hear that music because it's good for you – it makes you feel good. If you like it, go for it. Just because I don't like it doesn't mean anything – it's a matter of personal taste."
They were selling CD's so I know they exist. I'm not working right now so I didnt get one. However, I bought some Indian food at Target and it came with a free CD (collect all four). I meditated to it last night and it was wonderful.

I think they we're just stopping by. I don't think there is enough of a reason to stay around here.

Yeah, they have frozen "Ethnic Gourmet" ones and they now carry some non-frozen dinners that are in a sealed packages that you stick in boiling water. Of course they arent as good as the bad ass restaurant "India's" here, but I'm really diggin them. I am completely addicted to Indian food ... completely!
