Hi there,
I've played a Bit commander for the first time, and fell in love with the plain dirt sound, with no octaves! (quite close to the Mini by the way)
So I was wondering: is the dirt part of the circuit taken from another eqd pedal? In other words, can I get that exact sound out of another eqd pedal, but with more tweaking options for dirt?
Thanks for your input!

Re: Bit Commander dirt question
there's a schematic around for the Bit Commander, if you like only the drive part you can have somebody build you a clone of the part only.

Oh I like it as a whole too. But Eqd has put out so many dirt pedals, I thought maybe one of them shared the same circuit.

Re: Bit Commander dirt question
maybe the acapulco, since the circuit is based around the same opamp.

Re: Bit Commander dirt question
It's a square wave distortion, so anything that does that should do the trick. Acapulco Gold is the same opamp, but two of them so might have a little more flavor. When I had the Bit Commander (regret flipping) it seemed to me a full, flat (not in a bad way) dist. Searching turned up an Excane demo of the Rougarou Pedals Draugr, and that sounds a lot like it. Or maybe you could get there with a 250/Distortion+ type thing.
