Does anyone have or have you messed with a Furman RV-1? I’m really interested in one for part of a super convoluted bass rig with a guitar and bass head or an SVT/V4, trying to use the parametric mid and treble boost to add a bit of cut and always on subtle verb to fill out sound in a three piece. Also it just looks cool and i like weird rack shit.

Re: Old Funky Reverbs (prob just tanks?)
Keep in mind I'm running from hazy home recording on tape days (when that was state of the art!) memories here: it was a common and relatively cheap way to add *some* verb to a recording while tracking.
This back when even the prosumer level stuff like the early Midiverbs were still just too blisteringly expensive for most folks.
EQ is something that you dialed in on it and left alone (which would be in line with what you want), but not in terms of overall tone-shaping or "big wash" tube tank type verb.
Basically it's a "I now has verb in my home studio" stepping stone of the time. For $50 or $100 I'd bag one as a curiosity to keep around - for the current market...I would NOT pay three bills for one.

Has anyone tried the Peavey Valverb?
Honestly I dont think it's going to kick out my OG 64 Fender tank but it sure looks interesting

I’m not sure I’ve read anyone rating the Valveverb at god tier, but I have never seen a bad word about it since it hit the street back in the 90s. Buy for the reverb, stay for the tremolo.

At that asking on that one, I'd just get an actual Fender tank all day long.Gone Fission wrote:I’m not sure I’ve read anyone rating the Valveverb at god tier, but I have never seen a bad word about it since it hit the street back in the 90s. Buy for the reverb, stay for the tremolo.

Well, okay, it is more so now that Ikea is done with the Rast end tables that make such excellent DIY racks when you add some rails. I do need to purge a little based on overfull rack spaces and the need to reclaim some sanity.

I am still sour that those end tables were discontinued. I only bought one, but it still has lots of room left to fill up. Still, I would have bought a few more for future use had I knownGone Fission wrote:You say this like it’s a bad thing.JonnyAngle wrote:And then ya need a rack case.Gone Fission wrote:I’m not sure I’ve read anyone rating the Valveverb at god tier, but I have never seen a bad word about it since it hit the street back in the 90s. Re: Old Funky Reverbs (prob just tanks?)
got my valverb and just tested it to make sure it works
A it works
B it might be able to bump the 64 fender tank i have
C rack ears are removable so i don't need to rack it!
