All these Behringer synths
Just heard some demos of the K2. There is also the ProOne, Nuetron. What to get? SH-101 clone. It doesn't end.

I want all of them, but really interested in the OBXa clone.

Someone wake me when they've re-popped the CEM3394.

Re: All these Behringer synths
I don't know enough about the originals to lust over the entire line. K2 has caught my eye, looking forward to the (relatively) cheap modules, and regularly have to fight the GAS for the minimoog clone. If I could get the sounds of the minimoog app - polyphonic, arp, and delay - in a semimodular package with a behringer pricepoint.... sold.
Neutron is awesome. I've bought too many semimodular synths in the past couple of years, Neutron gets used the most and is the one that gets used as a complete synth voice rather than a collection of utilities. But it does that pretty well too.

Also the Arp Odyssey clone (if they will ever actually make any of these).

Re: All these Behringer synths
Anyone try using different Behringer mono synths with a split MIDI keyboard for a....what would it be: Duo-Phonic, Polyphonic setup?
I have two mono synths right now - Grandmother and Kilpatrick Audio Phenol and wondering if I should get more monosynths unless I can incorporate them somehow. Could have them all sequenced individually but would like to use them together.

They made that one! It sounds great! I have the KORG ARP... kind of wish I held out for the Behringer (it is HUGE and made of metal though).repoman wrote:Also the Arp Odyssey clone (if they will ever actually make any of these).
I picked up a Behringer Model D because on ILF'er posted a refurbished one for $200. I'm a big fan! It hits my niche though (Don't want another synth with a keyboard, big fan of knobs, but also small profile... and of course C H E A P)!

This is the one... if I see the right deal... I will rationalize it.repoman wrote:I want all of them, but really interested in the OBXa clone.

Gearslutz people say the the MS-1 doesn't nail the 101 for various reasons but it sounds pretty good to me in videos and I've never touched a real one anyway.
Still torn between the MS-1 and a Bass Station II though, the Aphex Twin mode on that is pretty cool.

Re: All these Behringer synths
I ordered an RD-8 a while back, and I’m really excited to try it out. I really hope they release modules of their planned CS-80 clone (and if they do actually release a Jupiter-8 clone that they release a module version).
The only thing I wish they did more of with their clones is emphasize what makes their clones better/different from the originals.

Re: All these Behringer synths
That would be delightful. The 3394 is not at present available (so far as I can tell), the 3340 and other partial systems are available, from a few sources. I'm a bit torn. I'd rather buy from OnChip, but at this point anything goes. I have two synths in need of repair that run on these, though I don't think voice failure is the fundamental failure point, I'm pretty sure I have at least one cooked chip. Additionally, I am curious about applying such parts in other things.$harkToootth wrote:Bro... they did (or are going to) see...crochambeau wrote:Someone wake me when they've re-popped the CEM3394.
I'm enjoying the view of this inexpensive synthesizer renaissance, hopefully many of these builds can be souped up (though I suppose that's what fuzz circuits are for).

Re: All these Behringer synths
Model D is amazing, but I decided I get similar enough sounds from my Minilogue XD so I didn't keep it.
