I have one of these pedals and I'll be honest, it doesn't sound that great to me.

Thank you for being honest! I mean... it's still an expensive pedal, so I'm bummed you went through all that for that. Sometimes when you get to the top of a mountain... the only thing there is a fucking Arby's (wait... that's a good thing now?)

But that's not the point. Call me delusional but I just think it's really lame to require what is basically a college essay to buy pedal. Who knows, maybe this is just the next logical step in the evolution of consumerism? Perhaps there will be courses like for SAT prep?

The irony DOES NOT escape me that I have probably (oh 100%, let's not kid ourselves) written way more about this than the people who filled out the application wrote. INB5-1 "if you don't want it, don't fill it out". That irony does not escape me either. I'm just talking shit. That what forums are for.

The funny thing about that pedal was to see how much they've sold for. Dude was very adamant about not reselling it because it was an honor to own one.

The rebuttal to that is, not that it doesn't make him look like a chode, I have seen a lot of other builders do that (Lone Wolf Audio is the MOST guilty of that mechanism though).

Okay @Adoom... I'm something of a 'thread' meteorologist/economist. This -> viewtopic.php?f=149&t=55536&start=195 is happening now, and is sort of the 'beginnings' of what a drama thread from 2017 would look like. You know how hurricanes start? Once one person posts something, and others chime in, it's like the warm moist air rising away from the surface of the ocean. Then more people start looking, and kind of become like the new warm air which will rise, and add to the warm air already there.

Now thousands of hurricanes form in the ocean every year and only a select few, you need to keep an eye on. Kind of like 'warnings of a recession'. Or the Men In The Black. There is always something to fight to save the world, just a rare few that make it in the news.

There is a heavy ferment in the zeitgeist these days... it smells like a yeast infection and patchouli.
All this attention to fermentation... some of it is good. But just like with small-batch craft breweries
that get bought out by Diageo or whatever, the trend yields a lot of pond scum. As always, DIY is the
best way, whether it comes to music, gardening, pickling, or gear talk.

Actually, in all seriousness, I lurked your instagram one day (cuz imma fkin cr33p) and I said, "Wow. That's a man who puts his 100% into every facet of his life." You are truly inspiring and I strive to be like that one day.
I mean... today/tonight is most certainly NOT going to be that day. But one day.
