I could post about this show for days. I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am (Bold Statement but this "feels" [not saying it "is"] like the best TV Show I have watched... ever). Episode 7 was another like... transcendent of the medium episode. Episode 6 reminds me a lot of what Lynch tried to do in 90's (and with Mulholland Drive) but in a present day incarnation, and a little more finely tuned.behndy wrote:nice! yes. BIG fan of long format exploration for artists that excel with that much space?
I have 8,9, and 10 left. I'm finishing it today (that's like 6 hours of watching something).
To me this what streaming shows "should" be. Why stick to a strict duration per episode? You already shot the scenes, you paid your actors... give the narrative some room to breathe. You're not "projecting" this on a screen. It's data. 1's and 0's. There is so much freedom in the format. The only restriction is budget and people's time... but you shot the stuff already. If scenes work... let them play out.
Side Note, definitely noticing more parallels between this and Brubaker's other work. Namely FATALE.
