Cheers guys, and yes, Dowi, definitely build it! I had 5 of those, but only 2 sounded really good. I have the HP on breadboard still though, now with an AC128 which is also nice. For Q2 I used my only 2N3565 in that first build, but there too other NPN transistors can be used.

Just for the sake of saying, worry more about gain range and leakage and don't worry about part numbers. Also, you would most likely have to make a lot of changes to use NPN where a PNP is specified.

Two new builds in the house.

Moonstone. Originally started as a clone exercise between Cozybuilder and myself of the Wyllie Moonrock, a few years back. When we caught glimpse of the Wyllie New Moon, we started spitballing about what or how the added controls would function. Cozy took the ball and ran with it. You have fuzz, octave, and swell at your disposition.





The Lodestar is a clone of the Spaceman Effects Polaris. Wicked nice overdrive. Really plays well with the OD channel on my Tourmaster. Adds a lot of beef to the menu. The filtering, and added expression input are first rate.

Man... that's sick! I mean that in the best way, don't know what else to say. Would def like to try my hand at a couple of those brill PCBs of yours soon.

As usual I keep it simple but challenge myself a little space- and layout-wise. EQD Crimson Drive (it's out of production and I slept on an OG!) clone, but with Parasit Studio relay bypass and diode lift for cleaner drive/super loudness.

Using old, illegal paints made for a pungent vibrancy that's hard to photograph with a modern cell, and the knobs are more dark purple, but this is circa how it looks in grey outdoor light.

I really like this one, for devil music in particular. I tip my hat to you, Jamie Stillman.

[aaaaand I spotted the error - board input goes to drive 2 instead of 3. So that's why the gain kinda begins at medium.. I'll fix it later. That's what happens when u stay up all 24hrs to finish a pedal I guess]

Been a big fan of the Skreddy Lunar Module for years and finally decided to have some fun with it. Went full 'FauxJo' with this one - boutiquey amp parts face up and SMD bits hidden underneath.

SMD:
Cornish-style buffer with MELF resistors and SMD WIMA film caps.
2-Transistor sound-to-light circuit
Reverse polarity and Inductor as power-supply choke
All transistors and caps in the uF range

Mojo:
Carbon comp resistors and axial film caps in the fuzz circuit

Faceplate is reverse laser etched

Now THAT... is out-fucking-standing. I love the mix of old and new components. The old mojo out front and center, with the SMD stuff tucked discreetly in the back. That is the smartest assembly I've seen, well... ever. That should be in the mutha-fuckin Louvre, beside, no, in front of the Mona Lisa. BRAVO ZULU!!

I havent been building, well, anything, for well over a year I think. I dug out my parts box and soldering iron to build the Dinosaural OTC-201 recently, and as I was digging around for parts, I found a bag which I had clearly purchased back in about 2016 for all the components on the shopping list to make the Heavy Water - AlanP's take on the ProphecySoundSystems Infinitephase. I located the PCB and one night when my wife was on nights, I started around 11:30pm and ended with the circuit ostensibly working around 4am - lights were flashing, "stonehenge" was glowing etc ::) ::)

A bit of a debug later (sound kinda ground loop) and a decision to make the Phase Range trim an externally tweakable trim care of a bit of Vero, its now boxed up.
This thing really does go from phase 90 to another dimension and back again. Super cool. I heard that DeadEndFX have the blessing to bring out a production run PCB, so watch out for that in due course.

Here are some pics. The toner transfer isnt perfect, but I just got a new printer and felt it was "good enough".
