Re: Frankenstein's Lab! [SHOW YOUR PROJECTS THREAD]
I have a few things happening..
First my double neck protect is getting closer!

if you have followed this you will notice that I ended up using parts from all my ideas
I got a precision kits lp jr neck for cheap so I reworded a koa body I had originally made for a bass

going to go with DeArmond 2000 type pickups [a Tv Jones in the neck and a Duncan Elwood gave me a long time ago in the bridge] and I think a wraparound bridge

Re: Frankenstein's Lab! [SHOW YOUR PROJECTS THREAD]
This should probably be in the hack jobs thread.
I found this severely beat up Dean in a thrift store, peeling finish, dead bridge pickup, etc.
I covered it with part of a black light poster and put some EMGs I had in a drawer into it.
There is a mic element where the middle pickup would be, activated by the toggle switch below the tone knob. I just have to string it up, considering ordering some of the DR neon strings.

This is a AC30/15/Matchless styled kit currently building (Trinity TC15- 1 channel based on AC30 top boost channel, channel 2 based on AC15 EF86 channel with some Matchless styled stuff in there).
Always really wanted a tube rectified Vox style amp with an EF86 but they are always so expensive, this kit is pretty cheap and it seems to have pretty decent stuff for the build, nicer stuff than the Mojotone 6G15 I built a while ago.

Finished building and testing this AC15/Matchless thing, sounds rad. Need to build a head and 2x12 cab for it now, gonna copy the Benson Vincent for that, have a Celestion Blue and Hellatone G12H30 for that.

Here is the Trinity TC15 done
I have a bit of hum issue to debug but it sounds mega Vox/Matchless-esque, super chimey.

Re: Frankenstein's Lab! [SHOW YOUR PROJECTS THREAD]

I've never been interested in basses before but for some reason I got a hankering to have one so I'm building this 1st Gen P-Bass, almost done, just dry fitting everything. Allparts neck, cheap body, home depot lacquer+prevail spray cans.
Allparts necks are so nice for $120 bucks.
