Organelle nerds here

Post by tremolo3 »

Anyone getting the new one?

It has become portable (battery powered and speaker) so it's finally the OP-1 alternative I was waiting for.

I read some of the upgrades vs the old one, but it doesn't seem to have changed much in the way it works, other than the hardware specs and these features that made it another portable workstation.

Anyone using one as an FX machine? That's what I will be using it for mostly, Zoia doesn't seem that cool anymore for me, considering this is only $100 more and it has many more applications than the Empress box.

I had one and liked it but I didn't like that it wasn't really portable. I also came to dislike all the menu diving and option paralysis that came with it. I'm intrigued by the new one, though. The original had issues with the input signal being weak and it was difficult to incorporate as a guitar effects device; I wonder if the new one will improve any of that.

I bought the original when it came out and this new version definitely rectifies some of the original's shortcomings. I had this fantasy that I would put one on my pedalboard as a looper and then in places, play my guitar loops with the keyboard, transposing the pitch with new rhythms etc. There was no looper at that time but it looks there is now so may try this version and see if it works as it was daydreamed.

I had an original, but also couldn't get past the menu diving or option paralysis. The new one is intriguing, but it doesn't look like the interface has improved at all :idk:

I’m curious how long the batteries last...I want to bring this on long plane flights and annoy people with the clicky clacky buttons

Well, I'm decided to buy it.

Hardly think so but... Anyone know of a dealer selling these with any discount? 4th July?

And Sweetwater has shipped my OP-1 I ordered in December last year... They kept the old price tag for my order, not the $1300 this thing costs now... Maybe later, Organelle.
