Haha, I'm excited about this pedal too guys! I'm planning on really focusing on it as soon as the new Tremolessence and the RRRv2 are sorted out. I consider those my top priorities for this summer/fall and I think they're both progressing nicely with basically the main hold up now being the soft touch switching. (More on that in the Tremolessence thread!)

I'll tell you guys what though, for the few of you that are just extra excited for this pedal I'll whip you up ones as soon as the design is finalized. I was thinking we'd do The Elements straight to the manufactured pcbs right from the get-go but I wouldn't mind making a few by hand.

When I get close to the time of being ready to start The Elements I'll start up a thread about it so we can discuss some features... like a pre/post EQ switch, I think that's an important one...

Cool! That'd be awesome. Thanks a ton, Ryan! :thumb:

If all goes according to plan, and The Elements kicks my BJFe Honey Bee off my board, then one of my pedal boards will consist completely of pedals you've built, and pedals I've built. Haha.

Aside from a pre/post EQ switch, you have any other crazy ideas up your sleeve for this pedal? I mean, I know it can't be super crazy, since it's an OD pedal, but if anyone would have something crazy to add to the pedal, it would be you. Haha.

Woah woah woah now before we get too far here! The Elements won't be anything like a HBOD... I don't even know anything about that pedal other than Bjorn is brilliant and I'm sure it totally owns, but that's not a goal of mine in any way, just to be clear!

The Elements will be op amp based, similar platform to the Cleanness with active 3 band active eq, gain, volume, a clipping option or two, and a post/pre eq switch... I think it'll probably end up being more med/high gain too, I don't really have much of a passion for low gain stuff.

I wish I had some more crazy tricks planned for the Elements but, well, that's about all I've got! I imagine when I get working on it a new idea or two will pop up.... you got any cool ideas? Think we should add expression control to this sucker? Clean blend? I want to keep it in the same small box as the Cleanness so I'll be limited to about 6 knobs and a couple toggles... less if it has a battery in it... I guess that's another area for debate... can I leave the battery out of it?

Expression control for gain is one of my favorite things. If you do that then I'm on the list.
Clean blend would be cool, too.
Nuts to batteries, we want crazy features.

I am all for no battery if it means more options. A clean blend would be cool. Or an effects loop like what the tim has. Can't wait.

Sorry, Bobby D. I didn't chose my words very carefully there. I just meant that if The Elements ended up being a nice overdrive, I would ditch the Honey Bee, even if they aren't close to being the same. My fault for poor choice of wording.

Batteries suck: http://www.beavisaudio.com/Projects/badBattery.htm

Clean blend ftw! Or more clipping options!!
