@UC: I have two axo boards and love them. They can do some similar things. But Zoia is all live patching and is already optimized for/as hardware in a way that axo was never meant to be. Zoia is a tasty recipe book with ingredients included; axoloti is an empty shopping cart.

@rfurtkamp: to be fair, your setup is a rhizomatic nightmare to most people (I say that with love). There is no replicating it. But this Zoia thing has so much to recommend it, and is such an interesting compositional tool, and can only be as boring as the person using it - it’s a really wonderful ‘pedal’ (doesn't seem like quite the right word for it). For what it is and can do. The cv stuff is a big part of the appeal.
