Damn echorec !!! Preach it. That sucks that happened to you. I actually have had only good experiences with Prymaxe, but it was through Reverb. That might explain that. Now I am glad I didn’t spend my money on their “sale.” Found some other stuff on Reverb and Ebay.

It would have to be something stupid expensive to make it worth it to me. The used market is just so over saturated at the moment it seems like you can get almost anything for less. Fucking weird. When the sale cannot beat the secondary market. Sad too because a lot of us can't buy shit unless we do it that way. I know I've got to be WAY more careful now and I already did a dumb ass move by buying a few new pedals that I got my ass bit on.
Totally. It takes at least a %25 discount for me to lift a mouse finger and even then I bet I can find it in mint condition for cheaper. Oversaturation for realz.

I hate having to weigh resale when buying gear, mainly because it keeps me from trying all the rad stuff small builders are making right now, especially on ILF. We need more tourboxes! :poke:

10% off is about the same value discount as free shipping... it's nice, but not that impressive for a seasonal sale.

Recovery Effects has a 20% discount, code word is SPARKLE.

Izotope (software) is 30% off. (Not bad, but I wanna buy the Trash plugin, and I've seen them sell it for 50% off.)

Also, the industry standard wholesale price for pedals seems to be about 30% off retail, so discounts better than 10% just aren't realistic for most distributors, and better than 20% are likely to be all but unheard of, short of clearance sales. I agree that those sorts of discounts aren't that exciting, but that's the way of things, I'm afraid. Even manufacturers are pretty unlikely to hit too close to that 30% benchmark for fear of pissing off their distribution chains.
