My friend Aaron (currently working as a guitar tech for Ace Frehley) built an SG style guitar back in the day that had electronics problems in that it would intermittently feedback, squeal, stutter, and do all sorts of random hellish shit. He couldn't get it to stop so he slapped a Ouija board pickguard on there and the Mystifying Oracle was born.
