This seems reasonable to me — if anyone else has other preferences, you can say so in the sign-up form.
shikawkee wrote:BTW-I have a 1TB subscription with Dropbox if everyone is okay with sharing files that way.
Works for me if you're cool to share!
shikawkee wrote:I reckon everyone posts some stuff and we overdub to each?
In my mind, I was thinking more like building a little nest... you gather other people's sounds and weave them into something new. But I guess there's no reason you can't add in your own sounds if you have le bon bruit.

And the line between remixing/overdubbing gets pretty blurred here... like if I take something you recorded and run it through my effects, which am I doing?
Happy to share my space. I could never use 1TB and it's for just this sort of thing. Cross-collaboration.

Ah, so we upload many sounds and people use as they wish? Cool with me.

If you take something I recorded and make it better it's new, isn't it? That's collaboration! Think of it!! <g>

I'm happy to master the whole mess when it's done since that's 50% of what I do these days for a living.

This sounds like fun, I am in too, and I’ll get my son to contribute something as well.

Here's the Dropbox folder I created: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jvk9m73i4pvc ... QpV0a?dl=0

I suggest creating or uploading folders for each "song"/submission to keep things tidy.

This sounds very cool! I'm moving at the end of this month but I think I should be able to get everything setup in time to participate in this project!

Don't want to quote everything but I agree with what y'all said. I might as well try to create something.

I plan to upload some glitchy noises I've already stored in the looper and a couple more ideas, probably even some nature sounds/field recordings if I find the damn folder where I've stored those :erm:

Not sure I will be good at creating, but I can send some droney tracks and/or field recordings.

I added 7 files of stuff I was messing around with the last week.

I suggest people can add files, mess with other people's files, chop stuff up, mix and match, whatever. Just try to keep track of what you use for later assemblage so we know what's what cool?

I'll make a sub folder for final mixes/submissions when you're done with what you've worked on.

This sounds very interesting indeed, I'm game.

Should be able to record some pad-like and drones stuff over the next few weeks, will see if I can get some field recordings down too.

I am in! Not sure how much time I'll have to mix something, but at the very least I will submit some sounds.

I came to ask how many sounds we could submit, but I seem to have answered my own question. Looks like up to 9 so far?
I've got three sound ideas planned right now, but I'm sure I'll think of lots more.

I've got 8 in my sub folder but I'll do one more tomorrow.
Nobody else has added any yet so no big rush.

Sound per collaborator sounds like a reasonable cap.

I forgot to mention earlier but Izzy is a cutie. 10/10 would snuggle.
