MXR Analog Chorus

Post by Errant Tiger »

Picked this up a couple months ago and absolutely love it, but I'm wondering if anyone else notices that the high and low controls seem almost useless. Or is it just my ears?

Can't really help, never messed with the MXR...But it wouldn't surprise me that this is another case of adding controls for the sake of adding controls.

I'm *again* lusting for a CE-2W. My old CE-2 used to be my favorite modulation pedlol ever. It's kinda pricey though, compared to the MXR...:/

Btw, the supposedly shitty buffer doesn't bother you? :idk:

I had no idea there was one. I’ll have to give a listen later...

Can you still not hear it when the level is at max?

This seems like an incredibly obvious question which I had not even taken into account. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've tried the level at max... something to try tonight!

Yeah it should be EQing only your wet signal, so that’ll make it easier to hear. And since they’re cut knobs, listen for less treble and bass as you turn them down. At max both knobs should leave the wet signal uneffected.

That makes perfect sense. I'll try it after work and report back...
