Thrash? Crossover? Punk? I DON'T KNOW

ALL BECAUSE OF WITCHTRIAL:

Maybe they're too scummy/punky to be thrash? I dunno gaiz. For someone who kinda revels in genre tags, I feel like there are some really fine hairs being split here that I'm just missing. D-beat? Crossover? I DON'T KNOW!!!
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

I liked it but it was awfully Slayerish, to the point where I started listening to Decade of Aggression to work out which riffs were cribbed from where.

I mean, is that even a bad thing though?

The first track had me so pumped with the long intro to riff fest. I'm digging it so far.

Jrmz I am positive you have not investigated the Darkthrone trilogy of FOAD, Dark Thrones & Black Flags, and Circle The Wagons.

I think you should fix this.

It's unusual to have a veteran band late in their career release three fucking killer releases, each showing some evolution. I love these three as well.

Saw Nocturno Culto 2004 when he did a bunch of Darkthrone tunes with Satyricon. Then Satyricon did a set and then Nocturno Culto joined Satyricon to jam on some of their stuff.

It was very rad.
