Solid, well put me down for a board at least if you have some made

I also love the sound of the 633.. I bought some LM1496 to fool around with, but they haven't shown up yet. My other ring adventures have all been pseudo ring stuff based of 567 chips.

I'm excited to hear your 633 circuit :)

lt1054, which just arrived yesterday.

the headroom on the ad633 is nicer than I thought! I thought I'd have to add a noise gate but it's pretty quiet when I let the ringmod trail off and palm the strings. no carrier bleed even. I imagine it'll be even better when its off the breadboard and onto a properly ground-fill'ed pcb and in a box. I bought this chip probably 12 years ago and never did anything with it. glad to see it works and isn't a fake.

it's darker than the digital implementation I had earlier (in the video), but thats not a bad thing.
Wil this be a new pedal available from you? :snax:

Can't tell if he's using ring mod on this track or if it's somethin' else:

I thought it was actually chimes/percussion.
Then I thought it was ring mod.

Pretty sure it's ring mod on the e guitar/bass sound. There is some other percussion that could be what they tuned off (double hit sound at like 5 seconds). Some of the sounds ring out too long and bell like and some don't which also makes me think it's a combo of ring mod and tuned bells/chimes/persuasion.

Thanks! Yeah, ambiguous sounding tune. It's also a little difficult to tell apart the sizzle of the cymbals from the sizzle of the synth.

I lean yes on ring (or freq?) mod too, but also yes, there are complexificating interactions with the percussionations :snax:

The next tune (Song for Andrew #1) made me wonder whether B. Frizz. scored a Space Station :trippy:

Also, nice to hear ol' bill doing sumpin' else besides bare-boned old-timey 'n' pop these days :joy:

Also also: Cyrilleness! :omg:

Yeah, maybe just buy an Elta. Or, if you're like me, seek some more clarity on why you want a Ring Stinger clone :idk:

Anyone have any opinions to share on the outer rings ? Seems like they had an issue with the first run and then solved it..

I've still got lordgalvar's Outer Rings in my possession. :erm:

Don't know whether it's from the first run or not. It might be. :idk:

(What's the issue with the first run?)

It's not great as a straight ring mod. If you're looking for a ring mod-flavored noise making device, it's pretty fun! :!!!:
