saw Swervedriver last night and they were fucking BRILLIANT!

in less delightful news, it looks like the Damo Suzuki US tour is cancelled (or possibly postponed till next June)...apparently the INS cocked up Damo's visa. which sucks, but at least it's not because his cancer is recurring. anyways, i'm bummed about that.

Be Forest on Wednesday night!

Can we talk about recent shows we caught? Big Ears was super fun last week.

Bill Frisell trio playing to the films of Bill Morrison

Tashi Dorji, Tyler Damon, and bass player whose name I've forgotten.

This Is Not This Heat
Image

O'Malley playing with KTL. Thunderous. Yep. an SVT with two cabs and FOUR Twin Reverbs.

Next up is SUNN O))) on 4/20 in a cavern in Tennessee!
Maybe partying will help.

THIS IS NOT THIS HEAT???? HOW IN THE EVERLOVING FUCK DID I NOT KNOW OF THIS???

well anyways, i got nothing in the works with the exception of Belle and Sebastian in July and i'm gonna buy a overpriced Stubhub ticket for Stereolab, who are playing in Brooklyn the day i get back from my cross-country road trip. this is probably for the best as i'm utterly fried at the moment and my last two extended show trips (Philly for Spiritualized and DC for Acid Mothers Temple) didn't go well cos my back is totally fucked atm. thinking about the Flaming Lips, who are playing here later in the summer.

Got tickets to Bush and LIVE in August. They are no Phish or Collective Soul but it will do. :) lol

Baroness a bunch of weeks ago. That's my second time seeing them.

Buke and Gase has been a bucket list band for me forever and a day. Finally got to see them in Portland weekend before last. Still flying high off that performance.

Stereolab playing warm up gigs at a tiny local venue, end of May. Tickets sold out for both nights in ~4 minutes but luckily snared one.
