I wonder how long it took them to sell out this time.

I'm enjoying mine so much. Sold my Fabrikat. Committed.

Still looking forward to the presets firmware down the line though. It will make it so I dare use it live, which would be the bee's knees.

Yeah, I dig mine as well. The CV and expression is super cool making it special. Presets will be even better.

That is commitment. I'm not quite there yet.

I plugged my Cloudy in where I previously had my FORM2 plugged in, and I have to say, I haven't missed my FORM2. For what I was using the FORM for (Grain Shuffler), the Cloudy is better. I'm going to have to see if there's something else I need to keep the FORM2 for.

Really surprised you like the cloudy more for granular effects. I found it massively disappointing compared to everything else I own.

For real time effects it might not be as good as other stuff, but for scanning through a frozen buffer, it’s very nice.

Huh, I feel the opposite. Kind of sick of the FV-1 granular sound. I find this to be way more refined in its pure form and much easier to sculpt with the grain smoothing and/or envelopes. Different strokes and such. :idk:

Plus, all dat buffer memory

Exactly, definitely more refined. Not selling my Fabrikat yet though <g>.
The Cloudy is taking its place though right now.

Does the randomization knob on the Red Panda Tensor get you anywhere near the stutter and random effect of TKOG Mini Glitch? I love what the Mini Glitch does, but think I want the Red Panda Tensor more.

To my ears not exactly. It behaves in a slightly different way but cool nonetheless. You can get sort of close though and yeah the Tensor has way more functionality.

The Random mode on the Mini Glitch is a latching mode that starts and stops glitching randomly. I sold my Mini Glitch a while back so I don't remember exactly how it worked in real time but the Tensor can do pretty similar things with the Random knob at max if you leave it on full forward play, no stretching, and no pitch deviation. But its not going to be exactly the same because its trying to make sense of "random" in a smart way based on your other settings and the input. The Mini Glitch is just an RNG telling it whether to glitch or not so you get a predictable result. IMO the Tensor is a vastly superior pedal but you may have to acquire both and compare to know for sure.

Also using the "next" setting while in random will get you some pretty crazy granular glitch stuff in the Tensor with the glitch knob up.
