It might be where you are and where your amp is plugged in. I have pedals that do that, in one place but not another, never really bugged me much..

Oddly enough, every mellowtone i've ever had picks up radio waves.
I actually tracked guitars through my Melx 2 the other day, and if you solo the track you can hear the radio before i hit my chords.

I got a very very faint Mexican talk station on my arc flash. Had to crank the volume to really hear it, though.
