EQ Pedals

Post by dallasisacowboy »

Howdy! I'm looking for EQ pedal recommendations, used to own a GE7 many moons ago and I'm aware of the MXR 10-Band. Just want to know what else is out there in the world of EQ pedals. I need something that will give me a mid/low mid boost. Thanks! :!!!:

There's that little green Danelectro that was pretty cheap and great. I love mine. I use it mostly on synths.

If you can find a VFE Rocket, that will give you all the mid/low boost you could need and it is parametric so you can dial in the 'Q' for what you want.

The Empress Para EQ is good too, had that one for awhile.

Haven't used the WMD Parametric EQ but would like to try it.

Source Audio programmable EQ is tight because you can save 4 presets. Great for getting different sounds or using different amps.

Source Audio programmable is the way to go IMO. You ever have to worry about the sliders getting bumped and presets are great.

The WMD Parametric is overkill for most guitar uses and those tiny knobs without indices make it difficult to hone in on what you want.

I just released a 10 band EQ with a ton of extra features, High and Low pass filters, Send and return loop with a clean blend, Pre/Post switch for placement of the EQ around the send/return loop, and ability to use it at balanced line level as an outboard eq on anything in your mix. Check out Noise Generator's recent demo video of it. https://youtu.be/JhKHr6kMvs8

I just picked up an Orange Two Stroke and it’s dope and super tweakable. Definitely takes the place of a graphic well for more limited tweaks.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I appreciate it greatly. I wound up going with the Orange Two Stroke because I found one for cheap. That Source Audio does look super cool though.
