I woukd try something like the black acid/dust or lucifer rising from efe and get a green ringer or something for weirder sounds. The lucifer rising with the guitar vol backed off is this fat yet focused sound that's great for riffin. Roll the vol up and you get a thick middy sound reminiscent of vol4 iommi (imo/ymmv/etc)
Or get a dba apocalypse and have a full spectrum of fuzz from huge to gnarly to uselessly OTT

i mean, it's weirder than, uh, no octave?? but yah, i get it's pretty pedestrian by this place's standards.Chankgeez wrote:MechaGodzilla wrote:... and get a green ringer or something for weirder sounds. You think a Green Ringer is weird?

although, thinking about it, i get plenty weird sounds running a ringer into fuzz, playing sloppy bendy nonsense/whammy bar abuse, delay, wahwah

I don't have any that have EQ.. I mean the doom bloom kind of does and the algal 2.0 would probably fit the bill

Yeah I think the same thing, its a rather common pedal / idea but the sound is ... well you get a bunch of unusual frequencies to say the least!MechaGodzilla wrote:i mean, it's weirder than, uh, no octave?? but yah, i get it's pretty pedestrian by this place's standards.Chankgeez wrote:MechaGodzilla wrote:... and get a green ringer or something for weirder sounds. You think a Green Ringer is weird?

Re: Help me find my perfect FUZZ pedal
That's why I like putting the Green Ringer late in the chain.

Re: Help me find my perfect FUZZ pedal
The Green Ringer, like any self-respecting upper octave generator that isn't a pitch shifter, can get a bit crazy with double stops, particularly when one note is bent out of tune.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I got a Demon Lung for now, the big box version with original artwork. There's still so many other fuzzes I want though, I will definitely be referencing this thread for a good while to come.

Check out Basic Audio, they have a lot of fuzz pedal that may cover your need!

Earthbound audio beast comes to mind. Checks most of your boxes and is heavy as fuck.
