Late as always: Carcosa's full range of tones

Post by Big Mon »

So I need some dirt that covers a lot of ground. I know it's capable of nastier sounds, but...
1. Does it clean up well enough for fingerpicking and chords?
2. Can it Velcro/be gated?
3. can it do other fun things not heard in the demos I've seen?
4. Seems as though it can be pretty squelchy-how squelchy? (mind you, I like squelch)
School me on the Carcosa, won't you? :snax:

Yes to the first 3. I’m not sure how you define squelch here. Self oscillating?

I mean that there's a squawk as the note decays or on a break between notes. Not full-on oscillation, but something akin to the short-lived Fuzzhugger Squelch Master, like a brief burst of feedback. Also, is your avatar from the movie Ravenous?

Just watched a demo of that and no the Carcosa doesn’t do that aliasing/bitcrushing thing.

Ravenous all the way!

I asked because in a demo I saw from 60 Cycle Hum on YT, at the beginning & end there was some feedback between notes. I can't be sure, but I don't think this was due to a loud amp (which would likely compromise the sound quality of the demo to my understanding). And surely this wouldn't be achievable through some sort of interface, would it?

There's a certain builder doing a secret operation on one of his creations that I sent him as we speak

Ah yeah .. not sure what that is exactly. Sounds like a cross between feedback and self oscillation. Doesn't have that bitcrushed sound.

But he’s still a handsome devil.

Nothing to contribute to Carcosa, just wanted to gush about Goroth, winner of each and every BILF.

Precisely, for I am a compulsive liar with no real interest in the Carcosa, nor do I think Goroth is a sexy lizard boi, and what self-respecting elderly person would have me? Every day I wake up still breathing, I disappoint my mother :!!!:

But I really am excited for the new fuzz. 1 down, 3 pedlols to go
