It may be two channels in the way two channel strips on a mixer operate. I don't believe you can access both sides without two sources and two places for those sources to go from the outputs. For any given source its still just one effect at a time.

Stretch Weaver seems a pretty ingenious lateral leap--I'm very curious to see what musical applications others make with it.

Did anyone here grab a Tomkat Cloudy? Very interested to hear anyone's take on that. I love the FORM2 and this seems like it could be similar to the Fabrikat in a lot of ways but maybe even better as there potentially seems to be more endless possibilities? I have had the Tensor which don't get me wrong is very cool and useful as well as pretty user friendly to dial up what you want but I think it could potentially be so much more if rehoused in a bit bigger box with an extra footswitch to cycle through the presets rather than needing a four switch additional pedal chained to it. I am also curious about any thoughts on the new particle as I have yet to have played that. Certainly David's new Stretch Weaver is interesting but it is one of those pedals I just don't know that I personally would utilize it's full potential, his molecular disruptor patches are amazing but I found the pedal to be not so user friendly to me to easily dial up what I want on the fly with not being able to ever remember what knob controlled what across 16 parameters. The Outward V2 is probably the one I am the most excited about right now as his Instagram teasers have shown so much exciting potential!

Cool, I will be interested to hear your thoughts on the cloudy when you get that! What do you think so far of the mission control? I've been intrigued to try one but the price seems hard to justify without know how useful it would actually be to me. Hoping I can find one at a store to play with and try out at some point.

The Mission Control is deep. I dig it but you definitely need to give it some thought. Not plug and play per se but great.

Excited for my Cloudy to get here too. Hoping for a preset update in the future. All these granular pedals, but none of them do presets (curse of the fv-1?). Will it kick the Fabrikat off the board? Dunno, I know that pedal pretty well by heart now, but I'm just psyched on getting some new glitchy gear.

I also managed to grab a Cloudy. A synthesist I play with used a Clouds for a while, so I'm fairly familiar with what it can do. The only thing from Clouds that is really lacking for me in Cloudy is the ability to control pitch from something other than the knob. Hopefully a future update will allow for at least the Expression pedal to control pitch.

As far as presets go, in Cloudy's case, the lack can't be blamed on the the FV-1, as it uses an ARM processor of some sort (at least Clouds does).

I think Cloudy will have considerably more grain density than the Fabrikat, but I doubt that my FORM-2 will go too far, as it can do a lot of really cool things.

Yeah, not fv-1. Too many digital parameters, sample storage and bigger buffer/memory.

Of all the people building on the FV1 platform, I think Pladask makes the most interesting patches and variations of patches with different controls. I also like that there are 16 programs and all are spelled out in short form ON THE PEDAL with info about the parameters. I ended up selling my Molecular Disruptor because I was constantly having to look up the list of programs on each of the chips and what all the controls did because it wasn't clear from just tweaking.

That said, Im way more interested in the stuff that maybe started as FV1 but got ported away to more powerful platforms. The Red Panda stuff is absolutely dominant in this arena right now and Cloudy will probably be equally badass. Cant wait to get mine.

The key is having adequate sang-froid to feel cool with pulling out a few pages of notes mid-set. I have no problem in being that dork.
