Still not sure why they put the Gate mod as an external control. All it does is slightly lower (or raise I forget) a single resistor value until the background noise goes away. Trimpot that shit, and use that knob for a low end control or something.

It sounds good... and it looks great. EHX pedals can look awesome or cringe at times

I don't like pure big muffs that much so very tweakable ones are the only ones I like

:idk: I'd be more with fine with tweakable if trim pots were uses instead of more knobs.. more things to bump out of place.. more things to worry about during a show.. more things to go wrong... Also really, once you find that one thing a pedal does really well, how often do you really use it's other sounds?

Got one as a gift. Sounds great. Love the blend and all the other twiddly options are pretty cool. The mids button can act as a boost for solos if you're into rippin'.

I was trying to avoid these cause I knew I would want one, and certainly don't need any more dirt, but damn it...I'll get one eventually :)

Agreed. I think I would rather have the mids high q bandwidth trim there or something.

I was able to spend a brief period of time tinkering with one of these earlier today and was generally impressed. The seller packed it kind of lightly, not anticipating the amount of abuse that can be inflicted by UPS gorillas. Its box was a bit dented, so I'm wondering if others are finding High Q mode has a much more subtle mid sweep than Low Q.

High Q = narrower and more peaked frequency range
Low Q = wider and less peaked frequency range

Thanks for the clarification. This was probably a RTFM moment, as I was assuming High Q meant upper mids and Low Q the other end of the spectrum. Either, way this is a truly Muff-tastic fuzz, especially with the enhanced EQ controls, blend, and gate, which beautifully complement it's inherent Russian nature. My only issue is the chassis size, which wouldn't be problematic if my board were less crowded.

Did anyone post this vid earlier? I genuinely can't tell since page 1 is somehow blocked my my IT firewall, but it's pretty rad, AND was made by an OG ILFer (the Donny half of Rhys & Donny).
