Expression Pedals?

I'll be honest, I'm thinking about doing something that is long overdue for me, and finally getting an expression pedal. But I'll be honest again... I don't know a gd thing about them. I was hoping you guys could help shed a light on expression pedals for me. What are your favourites? (Looking for something more compact) Are certain ones not compatible with certain pedals? Are the volume/expression pedal combos worse than just expression pedals? I'm a fool but i love to learn

Ps the pedals I am most excited / wanting to use with expression pedals are my EQD rainbow machine, DOD rubnerneck and adventure audio whateverb

these are my favorite affordable × compact passive expression pedals that also have an input so you can use them as a volume too

vernon reid uses them too. he's chill

they have the same pot value as a roland ev-5 according to a manufacturer representative via email. ive tested, they work the same

Not cheap but built like a tank and they work great. I control 4 effects at once. Love it.

I have two of them and leave one in London at the studio I work in so I don't have to transport it every time.

PS-I also love Moog EXP's (cheap and they work), Dunlop, DOD mini, Roland...all well under $100. but one effect at a time. Moog can be had for $45. and it works with most everything.

If you just want to get your feet wet with minimal investment, I like the M-Audio EX-P. It's got two modes and an adjustable range. They work great for home use; I probably wouldn't gig repeatedly with them though.

I've got a Moog and it's fine but really hard to make it stick at a position that's not at either end of the travel. If that's important for you I'd recommend avoiding them. Unless I just have a duff unit.

I have the boss, the moog, and even a sewing machine pedal that works great with my rainger fx pedals. Is the Valeton made by mooer?

I have a AMT EX50 which is really good. That Valeton looks really interesting tough!

I have a Dunlop DVP4. Does volume and expression in a few different configurations. Nice size and feels great to use - real smooth sweep.

It's 2x the price of the Valeton used, but it works so well that I don't mind paying a little more.

Valeton is the manufacturer, Surge EP-2 is the model i posted

i think there are also Rowin, Donner, etc. equivalents

but this ones orange! get one each & we can pornage together

DOD Mini exp is nice if you want to save space. Moog exp is super nice for $40 but you may need to tweak the knob on it a bit to get the right value for your pedal. Dunlop is very smooth.

Thank you all! Needed to hear some opinions from true vets. Making a decision today, but thinking the Valeton (or donner depending on shipping ect for Canada) might be the move for at least the short term. It definitely is orange...

I too use this one. Only one I've tried (other than home brew) and haven't had any issues with it.
