My only concern really is getting/making a foot switch for it. It's one of those wonky 6 pole plugs, and I'm not sure where to buy that part.
If you're handy, you could fashion one out of a molex panel mount plug. It's a pretty common part at electronics supply stores.

I don't know how much use the clean channel would see, but having the option is nice. I was thinking too, having the SnK VHD on the clean would let me have to different gain channels basically.
Funny you should mention the Quilter, someone (Neon?) was praising theirs recently, and I had been meaning to look at them again. I'm not in the market for one so to speak, but...
