Hey Ryan,
I'm sure this is a dumb question, but what is the 411 on the "Elements" pedal? Is it something that is in the works or an inside joke that has gone way over my head?

Haha, thanks Dennis! *high-five* I've made quite a bit of progress with the bigberator lately, almost got a pcb proto ready...

1) BigRRR
2) Elements
3) Flanger ;)
4) then E-Filter.

:)

I think this is a good plan too. One other little project is to change up the Tremolessence just a bit... I want to add soft touch switching for it and move the switch right down to the bottom of the box. The Tremolessence will be the next pedal we make available like the minis, in powder coated and screen printed boxes with pcbs assembled for me.

That's the plan though, Big RRR, then the Elements, then something new and fun (which definitely could be a flanger), plus tweaking the Tremolessence... that's probably my 2010 in a nutshell. Gonna be a fun year!

Envelope filters are another one of those sounds that I just don't really like or would never personally use... I feel like it's probably not a great idea to work on pedals you don't love either, like my arch-nemesis the wah.. I wouldn't even know where to begin with one. I'm sorry B-man, this is the second pedal suggestion of yours I've Pasadena'd... I'll make your third suggestion whatever it is!

heres your answer:

Ryan wrote:Once the new RRR is ready I'll get cracking on the overdrive pedal that will replace the Woofer Wailer. It'll be like the Cleanness with 5 knobs for volume, gain, bass, mid, treble, plus it'll have some clipping options and cover lots of gain territory... and it'll be called The Elements. And the write up for it will be full of alchemy silliness.

I don't really like Envelope Filters (and single coil guitars just don't work with them IMO), but I love envelope resonator, and right now I'm using a meatball clone for this sound, playing melody with attack strength. Heavy flanging can sound like resonator at some point. So...combining the two ideas....
