question about labels on pots

Post by the Life Aquatic »

I have some pots that are from a squire champ amp that i got back in about 2001. They are marked with A's and one is marked with a C. I assumed the pots with an A were audio pots. But then when i went to look up what the C meant i found that they changed the labeling at some point. could this mean that the C is an audio pot and the A's are linear? when did they change the labeling?

Usually, the "A" designates log taper (audio) and the "C" is reverse log.

B is linear.

Usually.
