Question about the DN

Post by Lintybits »

I had an older DN for a while, grey graphic no flipswitch, it squealed and oscillated if you weren't playing a note. Just noisy as hell. Had to use a volume pedal with it.

Picked up a new and while it will feedback after a second or so, it's nowhere near as crazy. Still sounds pretty evil but not the ear splitting chaos I remember. Guess it's possible my old one was messed up and will keep it either way, just curious.

Anyone have a new one? Does this sound right?

I have an Aenima w/the chaos switch (black with old e13 knobs) and it doesn't sound anything like the sound clips or videos people post so I'm pretty sure there might be a very small difference going on inside that is the cause. Either that or our ears are broken... :idk:

Every devi unit seems to sound different than the next, I know iams has had 3 sms (excluding ones in combo pedals) and each one has sounded different from teh others. :)*

The early DN like the Aenima could be made quiet or noisy by moving the wires from the input and output jacks.
