I doubt very my that my list will be as extensive in 2019 as I've not got much I'd like to try that I haven't already got, and the exchange rate and a lack of funds is also going to slow me down - there will be one or two in though, I'm sure.

I preferred the best/worst format, but even then it was hard to streamline it to just a handful of picks. I was going to start one of those last week, but I was still awaiting more holiday orders to be fulfilled. It's still a hassle, though, to rewind through Reverb/eBay/Amazon/Sweetwater/PayPal, et cetera to tally it all up.

Maybe later I'll come back to heap some praise on the chosen few.

Best:
Fairfield Barbershop. Sort of in the same category as my DOD Meatbox RI, it's a "just makes everything sound better" pedal.

Worst:
Meris Enzo. I don't think the sounds are bad, and it does track very well, but they made some weird design choices that makes it sort of a pain in the ass to use live. A keeper for now, but I plan on trying some other synth pedals in 2019 to see what works best for me and what I'm trying to do on the next iRerror album.

Worst: Komet KODA - Sounded like something was broken or misbiased when I got it in, super ragged and clangorous with a low end made entirely of farts, turns out the early ones had a under-spec component that caused problems, Komet reached out to me and asked me to send it in, replaced the board with current spec free of charge and turned it around within a day, got it back, still sounded ragged but less clangorous and with a low end made of only 80% farts. I hate to be harsh, especially since Komet was super proactive and great to deal with, but I can't comprehend anyone actually liking it, especially not for $250+.

Worst: I flipped everything in one fell swoop and was gonna keenjustvthe Source Audio stuff. I hated the sound of the Ventris after that. It never sounded as good as my blackout Cadavernous. Rockerverb’s reverb is great though.

Best: Rockerverb 50. Awesome verb. Sounds great clean or dirty. Sounds great cleaned up with volumenon dirty. Great sounding amp.

I have $130 in GC gift cards and I’m thinking about picking up a Phaser or Flanger. Haven’t decided which yet. EQD Pyramids is enticing. Wombtone is enticing.

Big response to risk of discontinuation for DOD/Digitech stuff, well, and blow-out prices. Good push to get some useful tricks in house—Freqout and Rubberneck are fun as heck, and the Cabdry is a nice nudge towards the post-processing FRFR approach I’ve been sliding towards.
