Yes I have software i can do it with too, but I wants me some of that sweet digitakt workflow still. If you have any pull with Elektron, hook that shit up for mkii. :thumb:

its probably left out intentionally so I wont count on it though.

no need for an mkii prolly could just be a software update.

also u could just press the trig buttons at the same time the old fashion way :idk:
i mean u got 10 fingers. there is only 8 pads.

what i mean is it was probably left off intentionally so that they can either introduce that feature in mkii to give folks a reason to upgrade, or save it for a different, more expensive item like Octatrack, to again, give people a reason to buy the more expensive item. i dont even know if Octatrack has that or not. It would be pretty lame if it didnt considering the price.

I admit I do have 10 fingers, but I want this feature for sequencing, not live playing. Certainly no deal breaker, ima just making conversation. :)

oh for sure. me too just making convo.

ya elektron seems really conscious about not overlapping their products unfortunately.
might have something to do w/ the polyphony limit.

I was checking the Elektron website a moment ago and: OS1.10 out now! Also the Overbridge feature is slowly becoming reality. You can apply as a beta tester!

Btw here a pair of the first things I did with my Digitakt:

Getting seriously tempted to take the plunge on one of these, mostly as a drum machine, but everything else it seems capable of is a major draw. I'm currently using an Alesis Sr-16 but it's very limited and the drum sounds don't do much for me. I don't care for the workflow either.

I know I could sample anything with one of these, but how are the drum sounds that come with this thing? And can you beef them up with gain and FX with the unit itself?

it's an amazing piece of gear! if you took it out from the simple sampler/drum-machine bias, it can do amazing stuff! like you cna easely transfor it into an amazing synth/sound generator!
Like here, I'm not using the sequencer at all, just run it thru my pedal chain and then looped all the sounds:

Yes you can! actually if you want to push things even further you can take a sample, mangle it, then resample it, and then mangle it once again. Repeat until you reach the result you like ^^

This is great! I have a Digitone (love love love it) and looking at pictures of these 2 side-by-side is way too tempting...
