Nah. I'll just never get into these guys, the whole thing just reminds me yet again of the whole Women breakup/Pat disappearing into a cassette tape black hole, yet to re-emerge, and it just makes me sad. Plus they are kinda crap (oops)

I'm a big fan of this band/bands. slackerVK has become one of my favorite YouTube channels because he does play alongs to some of the Viet Cong tracks. Also does Polvo (Sonic Youth, some Melvins, Unwound) and things of that ilk if others are into it.

i really dug both WOMEN albums & the self titled VIET CONG LP, but i just can't get past the full-on 80's synth vibe of the pre-occupations stuff.
i think it's because i actually lived through the 80's. i hear that sound & my reaction is "NO, NOT AGAIN!!!"
