Re: Ayahuasca pre-order application
How do they “judge” these applications? If I don’t post pedals on my instagram does that disqualify me? I’m kinda salty about the whole process. Like how exactly are people deemed worthy to buy one of these? If someone bought one and flipped it what, are they gonna sue me? I’m not on ILF much these days so I might have missed something

It's a mystery, and I like it that way personally. I wish there were more gear outfits focused on their art and not afraid to do things differently as a brand. Breaks up the monotony.
btw - if you're jonesing for that Aya sound it's not hard to replicate with a gravitas or similar trem and your fave fuzz. Add a slow envelope filter to that equation and it gets even more awesome.

Everything is AI and algorithms these days. They run your Instagram profile through their proprietary algorithm and it assigns a score based on the type of gear you post, how much facial hair and flannel shirts you have, and how many #neutralmilkhotel, #metoo, and #kombucha tags you spammed.

I don't use social media at all. I wrote that in the social media section on the application. We'll see what happens.

Shit, I should have included a link to my ILF posting history.

The application definitely has a little bit of feel-bad for everyone, I think. I'm definitely all for trying to police flippers. It may be a largely fruitless effort, but I'm for it in principle. The insinuation that my personal choice not to ride the social media wave might disqualify me from purchasing this, though, is a real bummer. They obviously can't sue you for flipping your pedal, but I think their plan is to investigate the identity of flippers on eBay and Reverb and just never sell to those people again. Honestly, these batches are so small they can probably tell who a flipper is by geography alone.kevdes93 wrote:How do they “judge” these applications?
