Steve used a lot of pitch shifting effects it’s Kaoss Pad back in the early These Arms Are Snakes days.

Karin Dreijer, yes.

Mic + Kaos Pad is hella fun. I've run vox through Wizard of Pitch set a 5th above, that's also a nice sound. Other than that I'm a fan of simple trem/vibrato, maybe some reverb. Holy Grail is the one I use at rehearsals, it's just ok. HoF lo-fi setting is cool. Never tried any specific vocal harmonizers/pedals actually. Oh wait, my Casio RapMan's voice effector. Horrible.

I would say definitely play around with pitchshifting and find something you dig. Just use it sparingly, like for one song or only on noisy freakouts. Give me chopped and screwed yelling over feedback breakdowns please. I get pretty carried away snarling into my old digitech multi effect thing with octave down, distortion, reverb and a noise gate. It gets real gross.
