It's been my personal experience that gain ranges don't seem to matter much, but I've found a few sweet spots in my builds as stated above. It's better stated with the Ge percolator.. there's some magic there. I think clipping diodes are kind of a bonus in this circuit.. they sound pretty amazing if you get a good pair.
I don't think I can measure them in any convenient way now that its over but what I can say is that I briefly substituted the transistors a few times without measuring. It did not change the sound as significantly as changing capacitor/resistor values. Maybe I got really lucky but I think more realistic that I've only begun the rabbit hole of what this circuit is capable of!

the jerkulator I built makes some interesting intermodulation, produces some UFO noises on doublestop string bends and some extra rumble on chords(chords still sound like chords, unlike how octavio completely destroys chords)

My Ge/Darlington perc does all the glitch and oscillation magic. It's just kind of unpredictable.

Finally got to try out my Even Anguish. I haven't run it with my whole board yet but I'm a big fan! There's really only one setting that works with what I'm doing. No diodes, harmonics at almost zero, volume pretty much cranked. Brings just enough clank while keeping the sound nice and full. Any more on the harmonics knob and chords get a little squished, which I'm not crazy about. But at the setting above, it gets just the tiniest bit of squish, just enough for some character.

I'm excited to try it with the full board tomorrow!

The Even Anguish has a bias trimmer. You should mess around with it! :poke:

Ooooh I didn't know that. Mine feels kind of underbiased

Well I messed with it and it's not as gatey and I have a bit more range on the gain knob before it turns to sponge. My pickups are pretty hot so that probably contributes a bit. I'm really liking the sounds I'm getting out if it though. I think it's going to stick around as long as it plays nice with the rest of my board.

Stumbled upon this during a random etsy search:

Looks like a decent perc to price ratio.

Well this is officially incoming! Very much looking forward to having this. I fell in love with the look the first time Lao posted these. Here's hoping it sounds equally badass.

I've got an old version Zander Cafetiere incoming. It's my first HP. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm planning on trying it in a dirt setup with a rat (Cat Tail).

that Pig Pile looks dope as fuck btw
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.
