I didn't realise they were doing more without Spacey. I'll have to check it out at some point.

Spacey/Frank's corpse, and the mystery surrounding what happened to it in The Residence (where there is no surveillance, see) drives the main conflict; that between Clare and Doug. Doug remains loyal to Frank, and barely anyone wants to hear about it. That's an interesting departure from reality, as Clare finds nearly no resistance to her diminishing of Frank's legacy, only just 100 days after it turned up cold.

Netflix has been pretty spotless in playing here (UK).

Finished that Sabrina show last night. Was a bit meh overall and I enjoyed spotting the UK actors more than some of the whole show.
I did think that Suzie's (was that her name?) Trans life subplot was played really well and subtle enough not to derail the overall story whilst also remaining powerful.

However, half the pentagrams were the wrong way up and that annoyed me.

I'm about halfway into Sabrina and I'm starting to tire of it. I thought it was a definite step up from Riverdale (which I couldn't make it through the first season of), but all the "addressing teen issues" is ruining it for me.

I've been most surprised by the amount of accurate Satanic content.

Honestly, fuck Netflix and Disney.

Netflix consistently ruins their good shows
?
how do they ruin them? they don't create content, they just buy content.

Blurry definition since Netflix definitely funds things that no one else would.

What I'm getting at is; NF may "create" originals, but they don't pay writers. They pay production companies for rights on a finished or mostly-finished product. They are known for letting writers/producers do their thing, and just taking care of the other hard part - marketing on a short cycle. Short cycle marketing in a sector that has hundreds of hours of original programming is insanely hard. It's also insanely hard to retarget after a shift in tone or (like what happened with House of Cards) unforseen production changes.

So I'm curious how that is seen as "ruining" content, instead of simply failing to get ahead of a short marketing cycle or being able to negotiate with production companies who are unhappy or in trouble.

Oh I agree with you wholeheartedly: Netflix doesn't "ruin shows" beyond acting just like a network and cancelling shows no one watches.

"No one", obviously.

Aside from the addressing of teen issues, what else is bothering you? Happy to warn if it's going to get worse for you!

Foudn the show quite hard to place chronologically for the first few episodes. Massive reliance on land line phones and yet there was a laptop in the first episode. And everyone was dressed like an Archie comic (for obvious reasons) but then it turns out it's modern times and there are smartphones and shit but witches just don't use them. Which struck me as odd because surely Satan would be all for Grindr and other things that would upset God?

Liquid Sky (Prime Video) is an orgiastic 80's kvlt New Wave film experience complete with random thermal photography, dated dancing and fashion, absurd one liners, minimalist Casio keyboard orchestration, and a spastic musical number incorporating a Roland CR-78 strapped to the performer. Definitely worth enduring once IMO.

only 7 minutes in, so have no opinion on it overall, but the soundtrack so far has been AWESOME.
