Yeah, I debated that. This is marginally more mechanically robust. I think, but if I was doing it again, I'd probably grab some shrink, an R, and inline it.

It's sort of a PITA to disassemble, but I wanted to take a gander at the other parts, anyway.

Well damn man you inspired me.. I'll pull mine apart and do this mod. I usually just don't look at it ;)

I'm surprised how much these LEDs annoyed me. Usually I can roll with such things. I hope your mod goes as well as mine did.

I could probably have gone higher than 6K, btw. They're totally acceptable now, but still a little on the bright side.

I like moderately bright. It's a good reminder of our fine electric age. Water clears usually get 5.6k or 6.8k in my pedals.

I had the LED's swapped out. It was burning my eyeballs. Alternately you could sand them a bit to soften them or use a Sharpie to dim them.

It's not really the LEDs fault per se, but the combination of a high efficiency LED and too low a current limiting resistor. I imagine they are as bright as they are on purpose. I imagine you can see them in daylight. Hell, I imagine you could use them instead of daylight.

Another modal droney thing, with the HEQ1 featured for the first half or so. This track is exercising a couple new fuzzes: Diablo/Tastemaker HEQ1, and Spaceman Spacerocket. I play with the guitar volume control a bunch, particularly when using the HEQ1, because it has such an interesting response. I also use the Spaceman Nebula towards the end, but in a fairly polite setting. Base tone and light drive from Kingsley.

Looping from a custom algorithm for the eventide Orville. There's some granular delay from the Pladask Form2 in one place, as well.

Sounds really good @cbm. Good to hear someone putting the Form2 to use on a track. :)

The super-efficient LEDs are the real technological breakthrough of the pedal. Why turn all that delicious current into heat with a resistor when you could turn it into eye-melting light? Think about it - if you melt someone's eyes, you're already well on your way to melting their faces.

Peter, I think the real question should be "Can we toast up some s'mores on top of this pedal?" though. :flame: :snax:

Not working on anything at the moment, but two things I designed or had a hand in will be hitting the world soon.

I'm taking a little break from designing stuff for a bit. Since I don't own a pedal company anymore, I have the luxury to design only when I'm inspired. Not feelin' super inspired lately.

Maybe I'll finally get around to prototyping that DOD Gunge remake.

What can I do to inspire you? Send nudes?
