Re: Montreal Assembly 856 v2 Tour of Love NO MORE FOR NOW!!!
Oh, man... this can’t end this way.
He took a big risk to spread the ILF love around the community!
We’ve got to rally together and petition Multi_S to make Jwar a replacement!
There were, what, like a dozen of us in the tour box, right?
My 2am math is a little fuzzy, but that’s like $30 a person.
That’s only a couple packs of strings/picks... or a Metal Zone + $8 priority shipping!
Whadaya say, guys?

If he wants one and doesn't get it from the latest run I'll throw mine in for cost of what I got it direct from Mtl. Assembly. I hardly use it and it's mint.ALLisNOISE wrote:Oh, man... this can’t end this way.

This thread was birthed while the unit in question was for sale, it would be illogical to buy another one in order to restore that situation.

Right. I only meant if he still wanted one to keep. I'd be more than happy to throw mine in. Otherwise no worries but it still sucks big time for Jwar.crochambeau wrote:This thread was birthed while the unit in question was for sale, it would be illogical to buy another one in order to restore that situation.

Re: Montreal Assembly 856 v2 Tour of Love NO MORE FOR NOW!!!
I saw Scott was doing another run, he even offered to help and I declined as it's not his fault at all. It does suck, and you guys are all awesome. Theft can happen. This is a reminder for all us to insure our packages too. I just sent something off yesterday and normally would skip the insurance, but did it because of this exact instance and I will from now on. It's only a few bucks.
I cannot afford to buy a new one and actually am still paying the old one off, so I appreciate the heads up but it's not possible for me at the moment. Thanks guys.
Also, I don't expect anything. I was doing this as a means to let people who may not ever get to try this possible. I succeeded for the most part, so my intention was fulfilled and at least that's a positive out of this.

Just so there's no confusion, I pulled that listing (or thought I did?) when I sent it out. So, I wasn't trying to grab it out from under anyone while it was in their hands. I decided to not sell it. The tourbox was just as much for me as for you folks too. You were learning and sharing and I was learning with you.

So, I'll throw it out there again: If anyone wants to chip in, at my regular cost direct from MA, I'll make mine available to Jwar if he wants it and anyone wants to do this.Jwar wrote:crochambeau wrote:This thread was birthed while the unit in question was for sale, it would be illogical to buy another one in order to restore that situation.

Re: Montreal Assembly 856 v2 Tour of Love NO MORE FOR NOW!!!
We can all learn a lesson from this. I know I take it for granted that when I ship something it will just magically show up at somebody's doorstep all okay. Just this month I had an issue sending something to California on a 2-day shipment but it got lost basically twice, disappeared for a week between LA post offices, but finally ended up to the buyer after 13 days. So now I am scared to send things of a certain value without insurance. Perhaps on any future tour boxes it should just be a rule to ship insured with signature confirmation. That would be wise for anyone.

Agreed with above.
I appreciate you guys but I don’t expect it to be replaced or any money given to me. It’s a risk I knew I was taking. You never think it’s going to happen until it does. I liked the pedal but I can alway replace it down the road. My main point again was to share with you all. So, I’m just happy I was able to do that a little bit.

Just so everyone knows, the last guy who was supposed to get it is trying to use his rental insurance to cover it. Not sure that will fly but you never know. I mean, I kind of do being a landlord but lol, some insurance companies are easier than others.

Here's hoping! Keep an eye out on Reverb, etc. for someone in your city selling it.Jwar wrote:Just so everyone knows, the last guy who was supposed to get it is trying to use his rental insurance to cover it. Odds are some pawn shop in New York has a new one sitting in a corner that'll be forgotten unless something magical happens.shikawkee wrote:Here's hoping!
