Well shit, guess the Fisherman's Fuzz couldn't survive the rehearsal space floor or maybe was doomed from the start... I got home from there (where it had worked but below unity volume) and hooked it up, noticed a volume loss situation that seemed to get worse/quieter the longer the circuit was on.

Not stoked on going over the Millennium bypass or rewiring the switch again, I replaced the circuit with an identical but smaller one I had built in parallel, and a neater, separate pot/3PDT toggle switch solution. NOW it fucking works and can be handed over to my bud. I still don't know what exactly went wrong with the mk1, may or may not try the MBP switching method again. Is is really worth it just to have a pot/switch combo with LED indication.

another mod i did this morning.
the OS2 was the first pedal i ever bought when i was in high school
they are super cheap now so i figured why not bask in nostalgia a bit
well stock, it sounds like someone threw a blanket over the amp
so i decided to mod it a lil bit & now it really cooks

What sizes did you use for the input cap toggle? I think I put a 4.7n that measured 5n in mine and then a 47n on one side and a 15n on the other. I l ikr the 50+n stacked with my unidrive clone.. pretty huge

I used 4.7n for stock, 22n for mid and 100n for full. I had been using 47n for mid but I could barely hear a difference between that and 100n so 22n got me the halfway point I was looking for. I like the circuit a lot for it's simplicity but also the breadth of tones available just with input cap, output volume and pickup selection. I was running it into a single ended el84 amp that overdrives easily so with full range boost it gets really dirty and squishy.

yea i'm relearning again how awesome boosts can be. they really make your shit sing esp when playing at lower overall volumes

Nothing quite like a Germanium boost IMO. I like the Jack Orman Mosfet booster for just straight up volume, though it does get a little crispy at higher levels. It'll definitely goose tubes into breakup. I have 3 tons of PNP germaniums so I try every boost I see with them..

feel like i've been posting a lot in here, hope i'm not burning y'all out
but speaking of boosts...finished these up this morning and noodled w/ it while baking some homemade pizza.
dirty boost/low-gain overdrive into a colorsound bass fuzz-ish, which to my knowledge is pretty much just a tonebender w/ bigger input caps..?
