Below as some pics of the new Optical Ring V2. The original ring in a ring mod that is unique in that uses an optical theremin circuit as a carrier, and a fuzz with clipping leds to control pitch and volume of the oscillator. This creates a ring mod with cool wind down effects and effects that can be controlled by your picking dynamics.
I previously made a run of 10 Optical Rings (V1), and am now making a run of 8 of the new V2 (limited because they are housed in NOS enclosures (he same enclosures that a lot of my old school custom DBA stuff is in!) and have NOS vintage knobs and I could only find enough stuff to make 8 with this look). The new V2 does everything the V1 did and a ton more. Additional features include: expression control of modulation knob, modulator blend (which opens up a lot of cool octave fuzz sounds), optical bypass switching to ditch the super hard to push 4dpt, and my favorite addition, the tone shift toggle: three frequency range modes and lots of new sounds like stutter trem and more

Four are already claimed, but the other 4 are up for grabs and will hopefully be finished this weekend if all goes well. They are $285.
Here are some pics from this weekend's progress. Just waiting on the new pcbs to arrive this week.
